Dahua SmartPSS Lite is most useful inside a Dahua ecosystem. Blue Iris remains a capable and flexible Windows recorder for classic multi-camera setups. Agent DVR is a modern bridge between traditional monitoring and smarter automation. Milestone XProtect is the strongest fit for larger professional environments where scalability and enterprise management matter most. The real question is not simply which product is best, but whether the project needs traditional video surveillance software or a platform that moves closer to true AI surveillance.
